Church turns a century

LOCAL politicians and community members united last week to celebrate the centenary of Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral Church, Waitara.

Among those celebrating 100 years of the church were local politicians Ku-ring-gai state Liberal MP Alister Henskens and Hornsby state Liberal MP Matt Kean, as well as the dean and administrator of Hornsby Cathedral Parish Robert Borg and former parish priest Paul Foley, who cut a massive,

cross-shaped cake emblazoned with the emblem of the Parish. The day included a photographic and documentary display of parish life over the past century.
