I will never apologise for standing up for my community. That is why I stood for Parliament, and it is what I will do while I remain here. Last week I spoke in Parliament about project cost overruns of more than $33 million by Ku-ring-gai Council.
I congratulate three outstanding athletes and former members of Ku-ring-gai Little Athletics who have been selected to represent Australia at the 2026 World U20 Championships in Oregon this August.
I do not speak in this place about local government matters in my electorate unless they have a connection to State Government matters. The last time that I spoke about Ku-ring-gai Council in the House was November 2021, but today I raise some matters of concern.

Alister Henskens SC MP is the Member for Wahroonga in the Legislative Assembly of the NSW Parliament (formerly named Ku-ring-gai). He has been the local Member since he was elected on 28th March 2015.

Alister has entered public service through Parliament after a successful career as a Sydney Barrister since 1996.
