Students at Pymble Public School will benefit from refurbished toilets, which will be completed with $100,000 in funding from the NSW Government.

The NSW Government will match the money raised by the school community for the project under the Joint Funding Program.

Member for Ku-ring-gai Alister Henskens welcomed the NSW Government funding for the project.

“I congratulate the school community for their outstanding work to make this project a reality, and I’m delighted the NSW Government is supporting their efforts,” Mr Henskens said.  

“This $100,000 expenditure at Pymble Public School is in addition to the recent expenditure of $3.2 million in our local Ku-ring-gai public schools, which has cut significantly into the maintenance backlog.”

Education Minister Rob Stokes said the NSW Government was working hard to deliver the school facilities students and local communities deserve.

“We want all students to have the resources they need to succeed and thrive in the 21st century,” Rob Stokes said.

The Joint Funding Program is a NSW Government initiative to support fundraising efforts by school communities. Grants will match school community contributions dollar-for-dollar for works including play space upgrades, repurposing existing assets and facility refurbishments.

In addition to this program, the NSW Government is spending $4.2 billion over four years building 120 new or upgraded schools and $747 million on school maintenance. This is the biggest investment in public school infrastructure in the history of NSW.
