Mr ALISTER HENSKENS (Wahroonga) (12:00) —The late Mr Christopher Davis AM, formerly of Turramurra was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his significant service to water management at this year's Australia Day Honours List. Christopher passed away last year. He valued and championed sustainable water management both in Australia as well as internationally. He was Chief Executive of the Australian Water Association for 14 years and was an inspirational, passionate and outstanding leader relationally and executively. He was active in community education, water reform, diversity of options and sustainability. He oversaw the transformation of water resources during the Millennium drought, the worst drought we have had. He was admired by all who knew him. He was also on the founding committee of WaterAid Australia, serving on the Board as Treasurer. He helped created fundraising campaigns to provide funding to Papua New Guinea for WaterAids first project. Christopher was also a tireless advocate and raised awareness of Parkinson's disease and served as the President of Parkinson's New South Wales. I pass on my condolences to Christopher's family and congratulate him for his outstanding contribution to Australia.
